THE ROLE
Chetola Resort is seeking a charismatic and dependable Bartender to join our Food & Beverage team. The ideal candidate is a hospitality professional who takes pride in crafting quality beverages, providing engaging guest service, and contributing to a vibrant atmosphere at Timberlake's Restaurant or our event venues. Whether serving a handcrafted cocktail or sharing a local recommendation, the Bartender plays an important role in enhancing the guest experience.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Guest Service & Beverage Preparation
Greet guests warmly and provide prompt, attentive service at the bar
Craft cocktails and serve wine, beer, and non-alcoholic beverages according to recipes and guest preferences
Maintain cleanliness, organization, and full stock of the bar throughout the shift
Ensure guests have a positive and memorable experience through engaging conversation and hospitality Operational Responsibilities
Operate the POS system to accurately process orders and handle cash and credit transactions
Verify guest identification and monitor responsible alcohol service in accordance with ABC laws
Assist with opening and closing duties including inventory, setup, restocking, and cleanup
Support food and beverage service during special events and private functions as needed Team Collaboration & Safety
Communicate effectively with the restaurant and event team to ensure smooth service flow
Follow sanitation, safety, and hygiene guidelines at all times
Report any incidents, equipment issues, or guest concerns to management promptly Requirements
ABOUT YOU
Energetic, outgoing, and customer-focused with a passion for hospitality
Comfortable in fast-paced settings and skilled at multitasking under pressure
Detail-oriented with strong communication and interpersonal skills
Team player who takes initiative and contributes to a fun, professional environment REQUIREMENTS
Prior experience as a bartender in a restaurant, resort, or event setting strongly preferred
Must be at least 21 years of age and able to pass ABC alcohol service requirements
Familiarity with classic cocktails, wine, beer, and bar equipment
Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 40 lbs WHY CHETOLA
