Weekend Evening Maintenance Technician

POSITION SUMMARY: Join our team as a Maintenance Technician, where you'll play a key role in ensuring our facilities and equipment remain in top condition. In this position, you will perform a variety of essential maintenance and service tasks on equipment, systems, and facilities within our distribution center. ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Install, troubleshoot, and repair material handling equipment including conveyors, motors, and related systems.

Handle electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems installation and repair.

Conduct preventative and predictive maintenance, as well as advanced diagnostic troubleshooting on machinery and equipment.

Ensure functionality of all forklifts, racking, and facility systems.

Monitor and maintain all PLC-controlled conveyor systems and associated equipment.

Optimize maintenance efforts by efficiently utilizing equipment and resources.

Minimize downtime by educating production teams on preventive maintenance techniques.

Document actions taken, communicate irregularities, and schedule corrective measures.

Utilize CMMS for parts inventory and work order management.

Perform maintenance work effectively and professionally, maintaining high quality standards.

Promote good housekeeping practices including 5S principles.

Support operational goals with a focus on safety and customer service.

Assist with building and site start-up as needed.

Fulfill additional duties as assigned.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE:

CONTINUOUS (67% to 100%):

Lift, carry, grip up to 35 lbs, including overhead

Push/Pull up to 20 lbs

Bending, stooping, reaching

Standing and walking

FREQUENT (34% to 66%):

Overhead reaching

Climbing stairs and working at heights up to 75 ft

OCCASIONAL (1% to 33%):

Lift and carry 36 to 50 lbs

Push up to 40 lbs

Access machines in awkward positions

QUALIFICATIONS:

High school diploma or equivalent required

Technical degree or certificate with 2 years of experience, or 4 years of related work experience

Strong industrial maintenance background with troubleshooting experience

Adhere to safety procedures and guidelines

Self-motivated individual with strong time management skills

Certification in Powered Industrial Truck operations is required

Ability to work indoors and outdoors, including inclement weather conditions

First Aid/CPR and AED certification required

Knowledge of NFPA 70E and Arc Flash principles

Proficient in the use of hand tools, powered tools, and measurement equipment

Ability to follow established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)

Familiarity with industrial equipment utilization and safety procedures

Basic HVAC troubleshooting skills preferred

Experience with Building Management Systems and HMI systems

Computerized Maintenance Management System experience preferred

Knowledge of electrical and control circuits troubleshooting

General plumbing and construction skills

Fabrication and welding experience preferred

Available to work various shifts including overtime as needed

Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus

Proficiency with Google Suite is a plus
