Build and maintain the grant discovery product, leveraging Perplexity web search, vector embeddings, and related AI technologies. Automate and improve the evaluation of grant opportunities using OpenAI's large language models (LLMs). Continuously evaluate emerging AI technologies and integrate relevant developments into the grant discovery and grant writer products. Conduct, monitor, and analyze A/B tests to evaluate product changes and impact. Proactively propose, prioritize, and implement new initiatives to improve the functionality and performance of the grant discovery and writer products. Design and implement user metrics collection systems to inform product-level strategy and quarterly planning. Lead daily stand-up meetings, backlog refinement sessions, and sprint retrospectives. Lead technical design discussions, drive architectural decisions, and define coding standards for the team. Coordinate with product managers, designers, and data analysts to define scope, requirements, and roadmaps for cross-functional projects. Define project scopes based on design requirements, user research, and technical feasibility. Execute and monitor the deployment of new code to production environments. Mentor junior engineers through code reviews, pair programming, and technical guidance. Evaluate and support the performance and professional development of engineers on the team. Triage, diagnose, and resolve software bugs to maintain system stability and performance. Ensure site reliability via on-call rotations, monitoring application performance, scaling resources as needed, and managing deployments and infrastructure. Build and maintain infrastructure that enhances developer workflows and improves user-facing features. Conduct interviews to recruit and evaluate software engineering candidates. Stay current with industry software standards by attending conferences and sharing acquired knowledge and best practices within the company.

-Domain expertise in the grant discovery and writing process for academic, government, corporate, and private grants.
-Terraform and AWS infrastructure services, including EC2, ECS, CodeBuild/CodePipeline, S3, and CloudWatch.
-Testing and observability tools, including Datadog and Sentry.
B.S. in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
