We are seeking a Licensed Psychiatric Technician (LPT) to provide behavioral and psychiatric nursing care in a secure correctional healthcare environment. This role supports mentally or developmentally disabled patients/youth through clinical monitoring, medication administration, and collaborative treatment planning.

Key Responsibilities

Provide psychiatric and behavioral nursing care

Monitor, assess, and report changes in mental status and behavior

Administer medications and treatments under RN/MD supervision

Record vital signs and perform assigned nursing procedures

Assist with treatment plans and therapeutic interventions

Communicate effectively with custody and medical staff

Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation

Promote a safe and structured therapeutic environment

Required Qualifications

Minimum 12 months of recent experience (within the last 3 years) in a similar role (public or private institution)

Active and valid California LPT License

Current BLS Certification

Fluent in English (verbal and written communication)

Ability to work safely within a secure healthcare facility
