Quinn Covarrubias, A Professional Law Corporation is looking for an Experienced Paralegal to join our team. We are a litigation firm with offices in Roseville and Orange County with practice areas throughout California, Nevada and Oregon.
Duties of the position include assisting attorneys in answering discovery; completing deposition and medical record summaries; building and maintaining timelines; legal and factual research; assisting with trial preparation and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
• Must be a certificated paralegal from an accredited institution; or per BPC 6450 have
qualifications by education and experience of 3-5 years.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail;
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a dynamic team environment;
• Organized and proactive approach to work assignments, ability to prioritize;
• Professional attitude and demeanor;
• Efficiency in litigation support skills, including preparation of pleadings and discovery, and
familiarity with California Rules of Court;
• Prior experience assisting an attorney who is preparing a case for trial;
· Experience scheduling medical provider depositions;
• Prior experience summarizing depositions, including medical and expert depositions;
· Experience subpoenaing medical records and witnesses;
· Build, maintain, and track assigned case files on electronic database;
· Cross-check and validate information for assigned case(s);
• Proficiency in social media research;
• Proficiency with Word, Excel, Adobe Acrobat Professional, and Outlook, Litigation Deadlines
• Experience with MS Office Programs OneNote, Teams, legal calendaring software, and basic
office equipment;
• Experience with billing time and billing software;
• Experience with trial presentation software (i.e. Trial Director) is a plus;
• Experience with litigation support program (i.e. Case Map) is a plus.
