Bindery Operator
We are seeking a skilled Bindery Operator to join our Core Publishing Solutions team. In this role, you will perform equipment set ups, monitor production quality, and troubleshoot equipment to ensure smooth and efficient operations.Key Responsibilities
Review job specifications to determine material requirements and machine set up needs.
Monitor equipment performance and product quality; request maintenance support when necessary.
Perform basic to moderately complex troubleshooting on bindery and printing equipment.
Communicate effectively throughout the shift and during shift hand off.
Assess mechanical condition of equipment and complete preventative maintenance tasks.
Use computer based workflow systems to manage and track files.
Accurately document activities in Tier Boards and systems such as MII and SAP, including material usage and equipment-related issues.
Perform tasks such as feeding, catching off, stacking, bundling, and physical inventory cycle counts.
Actively participate in company safety programs and promote a safe workplace culture.
Meet or exceed established quality and productivity expectations using standardized work procedures.
Contribute to continuous improvement efforts through idea generation and participation on project teams.
Provide support for other operators to cover breaks and absences.
Recommend and help implement process improvements.
Regularly engage in physical activities including standing, walking, crouching, bending, reaching, and kneeling.
Wear required PPE such as steel toe shoes and ear protection.Essential Skills & Experience
Experience operating machinery in a production environment, specifically with press machines, bindery equipment, or printing presses.
Strong troubleshooting skills related to printing and bindery equipment.Additional Skills & Qualifications
Familiarity with MII, SAP, or other computer based workflow applications.
Understanding of lean manufacturing principles.
Ability to work collaboratively, communicate clearly, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.Why Work Here?

This role is based in a large industrial printing and bindery facility with a strong emphasis on safety and inclusivity.
Clean, climate controlled workspace.
Shift work available, including shift differential pay for 2nd and 3rd shifts.
Safety equipment provided, including gloves, safety glasses, and steel toe boots.

This is a Permanent position based out of Eagan, MN.Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $67000.00/yr.
Sign-on bonus of $2,500 after 90 days. Safety is a significant part of the culture. The environment is interactive, inclusive, clean, and climate-controlled. Continuous investment in large capital machines ensures the company stays at the forefront of printing technology. Excellent benefits packages are offered. The company utilizes lean manufacturing processes across the board. There is a shift differential of $3/hr for the 2nd shift and $5/hr for the 3rd shift. Employees typically start on the 2nd or 3rd shift and can be promoted internally to the 1st shift. Approximately 20-25 people retire each year, providing growth and career-building opportunities.Workplace Type
