Summary/Objective:
The shipping / driver associate position verifies and keeps records on incoming and outgoing shipments and prepares items for shipment by performing the following duties to quality and productivity standards. Must be able to drive a manual transmission 26ft box truck
Essential Functions:
Supports the shipment of goods produced and the received goods and supplies to be used in or to aid in the production/storage of goods destined for sale to our customer
Reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the department lead
Required to make pick-ups and deliveries to our suppliers for parts and raw materials using a company vehicle
Accurately and efficiently process, package, and ship orders
Appropriately receive, unload and place incoming inventory items. Examines, rejects damaged items, records shortages, and corresponds with shipper to rectify damages and shortages.
Organize the warehouse and maintain a safe and productive environment
Check, verify and fill customer invoices to ensure accuracy
Operate lift trucks or hand trucks to convey, move or hoist materials to proper department or areas
Transport finished goods and raw materials
Performs all computer functions necessary to track various aspects of products
Maintain equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety
Ensure work is done safely, consistently and meets quality standards
Accurately complete all required paperwork in a timely manner
Communicate with other departments as necessary
Keep work areas clean and organized
Adhere to all company rules and policies
Performs other related duties as assigned by supervisor
