If so, then this opportunity may be for you! The Ohio Department of Public Safety is hiring for a Program Administrator 2 to join the First Responder Physical Wellness & Recruitment team.
What you'll do as a Program Administrator 2:
Plans, develops & organizes all major aspects, activities & initiatives for the Built for the Badge Program; Establishes program goals, guidelines, minimum standards & best practices.
Furnishes program information to first responder agencies, colleges & universities, & local community organizations in order to promote & seek interest in program participation; Responds to all programmatic issues or needs of leadership, staff or participating agencies.
Researches innovative program ideas or information that can assist first responders with improving &/or maintaining their physical health & wellness, nutrition, sleep habits, &/or other wellness concepts.
Coordinates physical wellness programs & events for first responder agencies around the state; Plans, facilitates & participates in workout sessions with first responder agencies utilizing provided equipment.
Schedules, hosts, or attends various community &/or recruiting events (i.e., State Fair, Arnold Sport Fest, etc.); Speaks to attendees about first responder careers sharing information regarding how to apply, hiring processes, minimum requirements, basic benefits, work tasks, etc.; Assists applicants with contacting the agency directly.

Option 1:
4 yrs. trg. or 4 yrs. exp. in business administration management science or public administration.
Option 2:
Or completion of undergraduate core program in business administration, management science or public administration
AND 2 yrs. trg. or 2 yrs. exp. in supervisory, administrative &/or managerial position.
Option 3:
Or completion of undergraduate core program in academic field commensurate with program area to be assigned per approved Position Description on file
AND 2 yrs. trg. or 2 yrs. exp. in supervisory, administrative &/or managerial position or staff position involving planning, research &/or policy/procedure development.
Option 4:
Or 1 yr. exp. as Program Administrator 1, 63122.
Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications For Employment noted above
Position Specific Minimum Qualifications: Valid Driver's License required to operate state owned vehicle.
Please Note Assigned Program Area: Completion of an undergraduate core program in Exercise Science, Exercise Physiology, Criminal Justice, Political Science, Behavioral or Social Science (Psychology, Sociology), Public Safety, Emergency Medical Services, Emergency Management, Public Health, or other health science related field.
