Job Summary: Leads technical performance across engineering phases of tactical integrity maintenance projects, including ILI maintenance digs, cathodic protection remediation, and asset integrity repairs. Focuses on continuous improvement, engineering management techniques, cost/schedule control, safety, and collaboration. Handles complex assignments with innovation, judgment, and leadership of teams. Demonstrates expertise in pipeline engineering, interprets business challenges, improves processes/services, and ensures regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
Develops engineering execution strategies to meet project objectives; manages quality control, timelines, and coordinates with internal partners.
Communicates project drivers with teams; develops approaches to address concerns and partners with contractors for technical quality and improvements.
Addresses technical content in purchase orders for accuracy; coordinates resources to resolve Requests For Information (RFIs) promptly.
Develops commissioning plans, closes projects, and ensures accurate documentation of files, records, databases, and drawings for regulatory compliance.
Provides technical expertise in project standards reviews; accountable for small projects/programs with minimal risks.
Interfaces with consultant firms and stakeholders; prepares/delivers presentations, leads meetings, anticipates customer needs, and identifies solutions.
Monitors/controls project costs/resources; champions safety standards and builds compliance/training plans.
Follows company policies, laws, codes; quick learner on project processes.
Other duties as assigned.
Required Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in engineering.
Minimum 5 years of progressive engineering experience in natural gas or petrochemical industry.
At least 2 years in project engineering role focused on asset integrity, cathodic protection, or corrosion mitigation.
Hands-on experience with ILI maintenance digs, cathodic protection remediation, corrosion mitigation, and integrity repair methods (e.g., sleeves, composite wraps, cut-outs, recoating).
Experience developing execution strategies, managing cost/schedule, coordinating RFIs, commissioning, and project closeout.
Required Skills and Knowledge:
Technical Skills:
Advanced knowledge of engineering workflow, Project Life Cycle processes, design principles, codes/standards, and interpreting engineering deliverables.
Proficiency in construction/constructability practices for integrity maintenance remediation.
Strong understanding of project controls, estimating, industry-accepted repairs, Integrity Management Programs (IMP), and PHMSA regulations (codes 192 and 195) for program management.
Familiarity with NDT technologies.
Proficiency in procurement, contract administration, business/financial insight, management techniques, and administrative practices.
