Lead Computer Operator

DPP is seeking a Lead Computer Operator for an opportunity in Columbia. SC.

Location: Onsite in Columbia, SC. Once fully trained there is potential for 3 days/week onsite.

Duration: 12 months, contract to hire, W2 position

Hours: Typical office hours, 8:30 am - 5 pm; occasional after-hours support (i.e, logging onto the network)

Position summary:

Responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities/assignments of helpdesk operations staff (4-6 on staff), and the follow-up of their work performance.

Responsible for day-to-day operations of operators, specialists and technicians, ensuring scheduled work is completed on time, as well as accounting for unscheduled production and maintenance.

Identifies and resolves computer system problems. Minimum required work experience/education:

5 years’ experience in the operation and support of a variety of computer systems.

High school diploma or equivalent. Preferred knowledge, skills, and abilities:

Helpdesk or technical supporting setting experience.

CompTIA A+ Certification is preferred but not required About the team:

A small IT Operations team of 10–13 professionals supporting TPA operations.

Responsibilities include helpdesk services, FTP operations, workstation deployment and support, software analysts and development in support of multiple lines of business, and the execution of daily, weekly, and monthly operational tasks such as claims batch loading and reporting.
