As a Software Engineer on the Foundations, Settlements, and Transfers team, you will play a crucial role in Coinbase's financial infrastructure by ensuring the secure and seamless movement of funds. This team manages transactions across fiat, crypto, and internal ledgers, overseeing client assets. You will guide the technical vision and mentor a team of engineers as we build and scale the next generation of financial systems.
What you'll be doing:
Designing and implementing new financing products and features.
Creating and building reporting tools, monitoring systems, frameworks, and APIs.
Collaborating with engineers, product managers, and senior leadership to turn our vision into measurable deliverables each quarter.
Enhancing developer efficiency, engineering quality, and operational effectiveness.
Providing support to operations and other engineering teams.
What we look for in you:
At least 2 years of experience in software engineering.
You have successfully designed, built, scaled, and maintained production services and are familiar with service-oriented architecture. You write high-quality, well-tested code that fulfills customer needs and you are enthusiastic about developing an inclusive financial system that bridges communities globally.
Nice to haves:
Experience with Golang, Ruby, Docker, Sinatra, Rails, Postgres, MongoDB, or Redshift.
Experience in building financial, high-reliability, or security systems.
Familiarity with blockchains such as Bitcoin and Ethereum.

Pay Transparency Notice: Depending on your location, the target annual base salary for this position ranges from $152,405 to $179,300 USD. Full-time offers from Coinbase also include eligibility for bonuses, equity, and comprehensive benefits (including medical, dental, vision, and 401(k)).
