Food Scientist/Researcher (Wheat grain, flour and bread quality prediction by Near-Infrared Spectroscopy).

1. Receipt of batches of wheat grain samples from different locations within Ireland. Sorting, cleaning and milling of wheat samples for flour production

2. NIRS scanning of whole wheat grains, flours, dough and breads produced from the wheat flours

3. Performed laboratory analysis of wheat, flour and bread samples to determine the physiochemical properties of the samples.

4. Using NIRS to predict the quality of the wheat samples at different processing stages

5. Preparing reports illustrating findings of work carried out and presentation of reports in annual seminars

6. Prepared proposals and reports where advanced technical knowledge of ingredients is required.
