Hall Digital Imaging
Dallas, Texas
Illustrator/ Graphic Artist
Job originally began as an illustration position. Hall Digital had licensed some of the characters form the gaming companies such as Konami and was producing a series of cards on them with cheats, tips, and tricks on the back side of each card. I pecilled characters based upon the box art asnd screen captures and these were then scanned into the computer and painted in Photoshop. Called Zap packs, the cards were in the second series when I hired on and the set I produced was never printed due to lack of sales on the first set. Afterwards, I produced trading card designs for Cardz distribution, owner of Playoff Football Cards.
The job required extensive knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator and Quark. I did outlines for each footbal character used as masks for the chrome foil process the company had patented. I did illustration for some of the Hanna Barbera cards and the Tales from the Crypt card sets they produced. Photo retouch and color correction techniques were also employed at this job to insure good quality film.

Page-Com (now VeriCom)
Dallas, Texas
Art Director
When I started working for this company, they still had a drawing board and flat file storage system. I purchased a Macintosh system, carried out upkeep on the equipment and increased productivity 400% in the first three months I worked there.
PageCom mailed out 100,000 letters a month in a huge direct-mail marketing plan. Though not a manufacturer, they became the second most recognized name in the two way radio industry by way of "branding" and private labeling other manufacturer's products. They carried more parts for Motorola radios than Motorola's own warehouse. Because of PageCom and the work done by the owner of that company, Motorola developed Radius, still its best selling line of radios.
While with the company, I was responsible for all mail-outs, artwork and copy. I created 4 color brochures and catalogs as well supervised photo shoots and did illustration. I worked with third party vendors, wrote copy and created concepts for all collateral material. I did coupons and promotional poster work as well.
