To Whom It May Concern:
I have excellent experience as a human resources generalist/manager, benefits administrator, office manager, recruiter, project manager and office personnel administrator. I was recruited by Gatan, Inc, (a Roper Industries company) to develop and manage their group HR function for four separate companies within their functional group. My role at Gatan and Roper requires me to work with several offices and facilities throughout the country and internationally, both through personal visits and remotely. This occurred just a few short months after I was recruited by ADP as a HR and Benefits Solution Implementation Consultant. My previous position was HR Manager/Recruiter for a logistics management firm in Cranberry Township, where I implemented the entire human resource function, including benefits administration/management, salary and compensation planning, the use of salary surveys, and developing job descriptions. This position also required a great deal of interaction with facilities throughout the United States. In addition, I have a great deal of experience with payroll management/processing, staff and management development, training program development and safety program development/implementation experience. I have obtained my Senior Professional Human Resource Certification and my Human Resource Management Certification. I will complete my bachelor’s degree in Business Management with a Human Resource Management major, maintaining a 3.94 average, this year. Perhaps after reading this letter and my resume, you will agree that it would be mutually beneficial for us to meet.
My key strengths as a human resources generalist, recruiter and manager include:
• More than 9 years experience as a human resources generalist with responsibility for all payroll functions, all government and corporate reporting functions (EEO and VETS), full benefits administration (including negotiation and management of 401k plans, flex-spending accounts, and health, vision and dental plans), recruiting, staff development, training program development and employee relations, affirmative action plan development, safety committee leadership, counseling management in human resource practices, counseling and mentoring employees, and developing and implementing all human resource programs, practices and procedures. I have also dealt with global HR, ex-patriot and immigration issues.
• Broad based (more than 15 years) experience covering a full spectrum of office management duties including personnel management, facilities management, negotiating travel agent contracts, negotiating vendor and supplier contracts, developing and maintaining filing systems and records retention procedures based on ISO standards, IT management, database administration, conducting analyses and preparing reports in Excel and PowerPoint, development of ISO 9002 procedures and documents, document preparation and project management/support.
• Computer expertise with proficiency in all MS Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, Outlook and Access), as well as Visio, Smartdraw, Quickbooks and others.
• Superior multi-tasking talents with the ability to manage multiple high-priority assignments and developing solutions to challenging business problems with a high sense of urgency.
• A proven reputation with a consistent history of exemplary performance reviews and recognition for developing and implementing efficiency improvements in human resource and office systems, workflows and processes
I am not “just another employee” looking for an “easy” job, but a highly skilled professional seeking a challenging, fast-paced position that will enable me to use all of my skills and experience to their fullest.
Please feel free to contact me at your earliest convenience on my cell at 412-***-****, via email at ********@************.*** or at my home at 724-***-**** to arrange an interview. Thank you in advance for your consideration and I look forward to speaking with you.
Sincerely,
Debbie S. Moran
