SELECTED ACCOMPLISHMENTS FOR MONOGRAM AEROSPACE FASTENERS

- Improved quality. Company was suffering from high scrap and rework costs and disorganized management. Introduced metrics to define performance status and set targets. Implemented root cause analysis / corrective actions. Reduced cost of poor quality $700K (70%) in first year, improved on-time delivery from 65% to 90%, increasing product daily flow 79%, with unified staff and strategic goal alignment.

- Increased productivity, supporting significant sales increase. Company manufacturing was stuck at 28,000 PPD for years, with demand dictating 50,000 PPD. Identified flow constraint. Created new plan for staff, equipment and capital needs. Increased production from 28,000 to 50,000 PPD in 60 days and shipments from $35M to $63M.

- Improved manufacturing process, reducing costs. Fastener nut process consumed multi-station operations at high labor costs. Teamed with President and found a machine distributor to meet the new process needs. Identified a 35% reduction in days to stock, a 25% reduction in machining costs, and a 16% increase in product margin.

- Implemented cost savings. Fasteners have a wide variety of grip sizes to meet design specifications. Consolidating grip sizes offered reduced manufacturing costs and elimination of obsolete stock. A review of high-volume core products consolidating and replacing 18 grips with 6 groups showed a $300K annual savings potential.
