To Whom It May Concern:
I am currently seeking contract work or employment as a landman. Thus, coupled with my attached resume, I would like to tell you about my qualifications.
I am actively working as a landman in the Barnett Shale. I am registered with the AAPL (ID# 72826) as an independent; however, for the past year I have been employed by Right of Way Land Services, specifically doing land work for various clients. With this company I have also trained new employees and have been crew chief supervising 10 employees in Wise County. With RKD Enterprises, the company I worked for prior to ROWLS, I was directly involved in all aspects of the administration, negotiation and acquisition of oil and gas leases in Tarrant County. I have done presentations to various groups including some Neighborhood Associations and also through town-hall meetings conducted at various community churches. There is a large Spanish speaking community in the Fort Worth / Dallas area and I am proficient in both Spanish and English.
I also have experience running title in various East Texas courthouses, including the Houston, Rusk, and Smith counties. In the North Texas area, I have performed title and curative work in Granbury, (Hood County), Decatur, (Wise County), and Weatherford (Parker County).
Lastly, I want to emphasize that I am very proficient in math, particularly working with fraction/percentages. I took various math courses while in college as part of the computer-programming curriculum. I am also adept in Microsoft Excel; I can generate worksheets and organize data using necessary mathematical formulas.
Because of my background and experience, I believe that I would be an asset to your company. Please feel free to contact me by phone or via email. I would be delighted to discuss the possibility of employment with your company.
Sincerely,
Silvia Contreras
