Main Project:
Wireless stepper motor control using RF(Radio Frequency)communication:
This is a project where the user can control the direction of stepper motor without any hardware connections or cabling. Wireless concept makes this project more flexible. In this we use transmitter and receiver for the communication of signals by using RF modules. The RF modules used in the project are STT-433(RF Transmitter),STR-433(RF Receiver),HT-640(RF Encoder) and HT-648L(RF Decoder).This project is applicable in Robotics, wireless robot arm, commercial wireless applications such as door announcers, security and access systems, gate control.
Mini Project:
Photo Electric Street Light:
We had also carried out a mini project to illuminate photo Electric Street light which glows automatically depending upon climatic conditions at a practical. This is basically a Schmitt trigger circuit which receives input from a cadmium sulfide photocell and controls a relay that can be used to switch off and on a street lamp at Dawn and dusk. I have built circuits with a 120 ohm/12volt relay and monitored performance using a lamp dimmer. This system obviates a necessity to switch on the system automatically.
Study project:
Transformer Protection:
In this project we tried to put in to practice the theoretical knowledge we acquired in the education. In the process of pursuing our education this relates to transformer protection. As a critical and an expensive component of the power system, transformer plays an important role in power delivery and the integrity of the power system as a whole. Generally failures in transformer are winding failures resulting from short circuits, core faults, terminal faults, on-load tap changer failures, external faults. To avoid these faults we use over excitation protection, temperature-based protection, differential protection and restricted earth fault protection.
