As a manager I was responsible for the purchasing of $50 million of inventory and managed 4 buyers. Most recently I was responsible for managing $12 million in inventory, placing orders to vendors in China, Indonesia and other countries. Worked with other departments on various projects to benefit the company. Worked with the Merchandising and Sales departments daily. Compiled various reports for my department for distribution to upper management. Completely managed VMI vendors (Vendor Managed Inventory) from providing projections, placing orders and managing the on hand inventory on a daily basis. Placed purchase orders as needed daily and managed the process thru receipt, which involved several levels of distributing product from the distribution centers down to the pro centers or retail levels. Worked with 4 major Regional Distribution Centers, 70 warehouses and 14 different divisions of the company to manage and get product where needed for the customer. Consistently maintained a 97% service level to the customers which was above the required 95%. Worked with Quality Assurance to resolve quality issues. Worked with various reports to analyze over stocks, out of stocks and dead stock. E3 Advance Warehouse Replenishment system used daily in all aspects of my duties, including setting up new vendors, maintaining the setup of my items, setting up and reviewing system seasonal profiles, running reports and more. Our newest version was multi-tier. Demand forecasting experience. Assisted sales and often time customers with special order request.
