I was attached to the LHA-1 Tarawa as a medic. I performed shots, physicals, and limited care to onboard personnel. I performed various administrative duties such as paper filing, filling out records and making and maintaining schedules for other Corpsmen.

Dispatch trucks to their respected locations in a timely manner. Answer phones, take information, relay information to drivers, and maintain a high quota of efficiency throughout the department. I also hired and trained new employees for office positions.

Dispatch trucks of a fleet of over 120 drivers to destinations from Santa Barbara to San Diego. I was in charge of maintaining a 95% on-time delivery quota at all times. Deliveries may include human organs to hospitals or a bolt to a power plant that would shut down till I got it there. I increased my ability to work tremendously well under pressure and meeting deadlines promptly. I learned how to use Data-Track and Google Earth to enhance my ability to deliver product on time, every time.

Manage A fleet of Primarily 53’ dry vans and flat bed trucks to various locations in Southern California. I managed a team of owner operators which transported loads within the continental United States. I was also involved in Brokering loads and establishing relationships with predominant companies such as NYK Logistics, Werner Transportation, C.H. Robinson and Bear Transportation. With my sales skills and knowledge of the industry, our quarterly average went up $.10 a mile rapidly. I pride myself in hard work, attention to detail and an overall passion to continue to improve in every aspect of the industry.
Qualifications
In June of 2003, I got an opportunity to Dispatch for a tow truck company in Rancho Cucamonga, Ca. There I learned many skills needed to perform and execute the position correctly, for instance,
I was in-charge of 3 companies at night, a total of 32 trucks covering 3 counties. During this time I coordinated all drivers to where they we busy and saved costs on gas and overtime compensation.
In addition, in 3 months time I was training my own crew.
Prior to working for the towing company I was enlisted in The United States Navy. There I learned the importance of punctuality and attention to detail.
