Internship, Construction Inspector, Pennsylvania Department of Transportation, Summer 2011
• Inspected and oversaw the construction of a roadway project.
• Inspected the construction of ADA Curb ramps on sidewalks.
• Worked with specific road and ADA curb ramp construction plans.
• Shadowed a Construction inspector for three weeks on a major five year bridge project on I-80

• Worked with road and bridge plans. Checked the plans to see if the corrections were made.
• Learned the bidding process on projects
• Created a fluctuating excel spread sheet to monitor the amount of money that was being funded and spent on certain projects to make keeping track easier for the unit.
• Contacted fire departments, post offices, schools, and police stations to notify them of upcoming projects and the detours that were being proposed.
• Assisted the Bridge Inspection Unit for a week and gained experience in that field.

• Assisted the permanent Dam inspectors in their work by inspecting the low hazard dams across Pennsylvania.
• Filed reports and photos and mailed them to the owners stating weather it needs repair or is in good condition.
• Updated the department’s database to show that the structures were inspected.
