Seattle University Ed.D. Educational Leadership 2008

Dissertation: “Self Renewal among Nurse Leaders as Justice Praxis.” The

study of self renewal as justice in nursing leadership had not been done using Heidegger’s hermeneutic phenomenological methodology at the time of this

writing. The researcher utilized true presence and dialogical engagement to

examine the lived experience of nurse leaders. Arendt’s notion of natality

informed much of the research. (Primary Advisor: Dr. John Gardiner)
