About Me

I am excited about being a Family Nurse Practitioner. I love to help people and happy to be able to empower the patients to take ownership of their health. I began to work toward my advance education at Grand Canyon University where I learned how to integrate knowledge with clinical skills on an evidence base practice. Professional organizations will allow me to keep pace with the new technologies, information and available treatments in the area of practice.

Experience November 2011 – present – AFC Physical Medicine – Sun Tan Valley AZ

Nurse Practitioner practicing in collaboration with a Chiropractor Doctor in treating patients with musculoskeletal pain. Some of my duties are: H&P, daily assessment and treatments, performing trigger points and large joint injections under the Ultrasound monitoring as well as prescribing DMEs and Physical Therapy treatments. A holistic approach regarding patient’s life style changes and promoting health are the main points of my practice.

Night supervisor for acute care unit. Part time. Duties: coordinate care for 25-50 patients, admissions and d/c, verification of orders and collaboration with Pharm America for obtaining in a timely manner the necessary medications. Assessments and IV administration and maintenance, as well as lab draw. Plan of care and communication with family in order to provide the best care and rehabilitation to the patients. This job was intended to keep my skills current while I continue my education as full time student at Grand Canyon University FNP program.

Feb 2007 – July 2010 – Fresenius Medical Care, Phoenix AZ

Clinical Manager – Ahwatukee Dialysis Center providing all the administrative

duties for the clinic, as well as the nursing responsibilities – for which receiving 2 years in a row the Platinum and Gold Award for quality services from Fresenius Medical Services and Ultracare

• Managing the dialysis clinic from the healthcare and business point

• Preparing and reporting to the Quality Review Committee the facility performance and indicators on monthly bases by using the QAI tools to prepare and analyze the reports of performance and implement action plans to correct any deficiency

• Member of the Governing Body

• Anemia, Iron and Vit. D manager by adjusting the medication based on recent lab values and protocol.

• Documentation for admissions and discharge of patients and verification of daily staff's documentations and logs.

• Analyzing and documenting monthly labs, medication, care plans and diabetic foot check and presenting the results in the Quality Assurance Meetings

• Covering the team leader position when no staff available and perform all the assigned duties as assessments, medication administration, liaison between patients, primary care physicians and the nephrologists

• Active member for Network 15 for the “Fistula First” initiative as well as active participant in Political Action Committee (PAC) of Fresenius Medical Care of North America

• Training the new managers (computer skills, and Quality Assurance Reports and daily/monthly routine responsibilities)
