Production Planner 2/2009 – 7/2010

Strategically planned, implemented and coordinated all production lines for a fast growing local custom label salsa plant formally known as San Antonio Farms. Challenged daily on 45 % overall accuracy on AS400 Forecast system. Managed approx $6M of finished goods inventory stored at an offsite warehouse. Coordinated all materials with Buyers and Inventory Specialist to support plan for production. Created and offered new ideas as a check and balance system with Raw Materials based off prior years experiences in purchasing. Distributed and communicated updates of planning revisions to production as needed. Actively participated in weekly and/or biweekly conference calls with sales, marketing, and the demand planning group on new and/or transitioning business, along with participation on materials to support new business. Maintained 98.5% fill rate order fulfillment goal to customers more so than none with-in means of the planners control, resulting in payouts on several Performance Bonuses. Developed training modules to implement for the plant, utilizing the AS400 system prior to new systems developments.

Planned and implemented all production lines. Self taught by utilizing my resources the production team and dept leaders. Challenged to grasp all aspects that revolve around production and materials, the complexities in formulas, equipment and capacity restraints to maximizing through put. Required to maintain 98% fill rate on customer order fulfillment. Recognized systems in accuracies for the BOM verses actual formulas issued for the floor by Quality. Maintained production reporting, verifying waste and identifying inaccuracies through this manual process. Put systems and procedures in place for production reporting.
