TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN:
I am pleased to provide a recommendation for Debbie Wehling in her efforts to obtain typing or secretarial work. Our relationship of over three years is unique but easily understood.
I use an Olympic DSS digital recorder. When completed, I download the digital tape file into my computer, and email the tape file to her. She has an Olympus transcriber which I provided for her. I then send an email to her cell phone so she knows she received work. She performs the necessary research, prepares the reports, transcribes the work and sends it right back. I get my work done a lot faster than having it done in my own office, because she is a superb typist. She also fixes my work up, whether it is letters or extended memorandums of law. She has excellent grammar skills.
I store all my files on the internet with an internet storage company called ibackup.com. When I dictate, I often refer to backup documents telling her to copy certain paragraphs and then modify them for a particular client. She also has access through pcanywhere to my office computer in case she needs additional documents. I save a lot of time.
Personality wise, she is a gem. She is the most pleasant person I’ve worked with. Please don’t repeat that to the two secretaries I have in my office.
Because I am a trial lawyer, often I am not in my office for several days. When I’m in the office, I load her up, but she wants more steady work which I don’t blame her for seeking. Anyone who gets this letter can call me, and I’ll rave about her. She’s reliable, gets the work done pronto, fixes my mistakes, and is a genuinely nice person. I’ve never met her, but after three years of phone calls and conversations, I don’t need a personal interview to vouch for someone.
Sincerely,
HARVEY SORID
