WORK EXPERIENCE
May/2010 – Present Therapeutic Counselor – Carolina Children’s Home
Duties: Conduct one-on-one counseling with clients on an as needed basis according to treatment plan, administer medications to specific clients, care for the residents according to Group Home policy are met, supervised adolescents, ensured that clients comply with program rules and regulations, transport clients to appointments and other miscellaneous errands, facilitate educational groups, and maintained positive inter-professional relationships.
Aug/2010 – April/2011 Adoption Specialist Intern, Department of Social Services
Duties: Locate suitable, permanent placement for clients, monitor the progress of foster children, managed foster care cases and worked closely with the populations in accordance to the treatment plan, conduct assessment, detailed background summaries related to clients history and intervention of clients, plan and conduct home and school visitations on a monthly basis, and document detailed findings and information.
Aug/2009 – April/2010 Clinical Coordinator Intern, Carolina Children’s Home
Duties: Functioned as part of administration, faculty, and support service personnel, maintained a working relationship with student case load, coordinate and facilitate Life Skill groups for boys and girls, counsel and case management assistance on individual basis, attend interdisciplinary staffing with clinical staff.
Aug/2007 – April/2008 Social Worker Intern, Department of Juvenile Justice
Duties: Worked closely with juveniles, served as an advocate, met the needs of the juveniles requesting assistance, organized and facilitate groups, attend interdisciplinary staffing with clinical staff, and managed five caseloads.
