Data Reconciliation: Compilation, reconciliation and validation of the data.

Reserving: Using run-off triangles for analysis to arrive at yearly, quarterly and monthly IBNR claim reserves for following lines of business- Engineering, Fire, Marine-Cargo & Hull, Aviation, Liability, Motor, Personal Accident, and Travel. Application of factor curve fitting method for monthly IBNR calculations.

Loss reserving methods used: Chain Ladder and Bornhuetter Ferguson.

Testing the sensitivity of reserve estimates to assumptions like trend factors, method selection, loss development factors, revising assumptions and reserve estimates depending on reserve adequacy.

Analysing Reserve Utilisation Rates.

Pricing: Using frequency- severity model for Motor- Two Wheeler Policies.

Rate Adequacy Test: Using on level factors, premium and claims trending.

IRDA Requirements- Financial Condition Assessment Report (FCAR): Liaising with Underwriters, Reinsurers, Investment, IT and Legal teams for logic formation for the purpose of the report. Capital Adequacy, Asset Liability Management Modelling-sensitivity testing for solvency.

Economic Capital: (along Solvency II standards) building risk capital models for premium risk, reserve risk and catastrophe risk based on formula approach prescribed by IRDA.

Financial Reporting: Preparation of monthly and quarterly reports – Actual vs. Expected Analysis, e.g. loss ratios, unallocated expenses, earned premium, incurred loss, reserve (shortfall/surplus).
