Roles & Responsibilities:

• As a Shift In-charge in Copper Smelter with ISA smelt Technology. Confer with quality department to identify, quantify, and develop/implement plan in process activity for reduction/control of deviations in the products and thereby increasing the productivity and to achieve best quality copper rod through continuous monitoring of all parameters..

• Continually analyzes manufacturing process flows with the elimination of waste as a prime driver towards quality, throughput and cost reduction enhancements resulting in improved value added processes.

• Clear knowledge of Mass balance, slag chemistry, all smelting parameters & metallurgical aspects of slag, matte, blister copper and refined copper.

• Preparing RCAT (Root Cause Analysis Report) of any problem occurred in the process and will undergo a case study and suggesting control measures.

• Organizing and actively involving in Brain Storming session with employees to have a common pool of knowledge on process related issue and gathering their innovative ideas for its solution.

• Discussing the Process Control Report of last 24hrs and scrutinize for any deviations in Process parameters to ensure the plant and process performance are at its best.

• Executive Member of Total Productive Maintenance in Smelter plant

• Implemented 5S & 5S Zone Leader for Smelter Team

• Responsible for making and updating the documents required for the Audits (ISO Standards).

• Participating in Corporate social responsibility activities and Public relationship activities.

• Reduce furnace oil consumption in super heater of boiler and Increase the efficiency by 2%.

• And reduce the power consumption of granulation pumps.

• Reduce the copper loss in granulated slag from 1% to 0.7%.

• Reduce the slag carry over in granulated slag from granulation pond to spray pond.

• Controlled spillages and fly over of concentrates by chute modifications thereby increased recovery.

• Increased the oxygen pressure in oxy-LPG burner and reduced LPG consumption.

• Reduce the rejection of copper rods by proper control over quality of copper rods.
