RESPONSIBILITIES AS A Sr. MECHANICAL INSPECTOR

Review of client specifications and requirements. Preparing and obtaining approval for Project Quality Documents such as Project Quality Plan, Quality Control Procedures, and Inspection Test Plans (I.T.P.), in accordance with Project / Client Specifications. Review of subcontractors welding procedure specifications (WPS), procedure qualification record (PQR), and welder qualification test (WQT). Witnessing & reviewing of non destructive tests such as radiographic test (RT), ultrasonic test (UT), penetrate test (pt) and magnetic particle inspection (MPI). Witnessing destructive tests such as tension test, guide bend test, impact test and hardness test. Review of radiographic films, PWHT reports, PMI reports, hardness test reports and line history sheet. Monitoring the QA / QC documentation of the subcontractors and ensure that all activities are incorporated to their system on daily basis and can be traced according to project requirement. Issuing NCR’S when non-conformity activities noted. Familiar with ASME SEC IX, SEC II, B31.1 and B31.3. Preparation of daily and weekly reports.
