Surrey Place

Toronto, Ontario

RE: INSTRUCTOR THEARPIST

I am very excited to have the opportunity work with Surrey Place. I have completed my honors bachelors in psychology and just finished a fast track (3years in ten months) Behavioral Science Technology course. I would like to work in a stimulating atmosphere where my good work ethic and observation tactics can be combined with an innovative and compassionate environment which includes lifelong learning. I enjoy working with high responsibility roles that accent my educational experiences with mental health and behavioral techniques. I am a very high energy, positive and compassionated person with skills that I feel would benefit your company. Not only does this job spark my interest levels; I feel my assets will be of benefit to you.

I have completed just over 400 Hours of placement in the IB/ABA field. My first placement was at Aisling Discoveries, and IBI clinic for young children on the autism spectrum, and finish my placement in an adult care setting with Pegasus this week. I have taken specific courses that have allowed me to feel confident with working with autistic youth and changing their lives with the principals of applied behavior analysis. I would like opportunity to deliver behaviorally intervention in a centre-based setting. I have experience with: conducting assessment activities related to the need for behavioral interventions, and designing, implementing, and monitoring behavior analysis programs for clients. I feel my ability to complete a three year college program for behavioral science speaks to my good work ethic and ability to perform under tight schedules’ and pressure. I am a firm believer in the power of behaviorally based interventions to alter the lives and trajectories of others.

I am a highly motivated person, with strong group skills and individual work ethic. My leadership skills have been fined tuned by my leadership class in high school and has been further extended and improved with my experience as the president of the psychology society at Trent University. The personal characteristics’ of high energy and motivation coupled with my analytic and academic skills would make me an asset to your company.

I am available to work any hours that I may be needed.

I look forward to hearing from you! I can be reached at 416-***-****, although my preference is through email ***.***.***@*****.***. Thank you in advance for your consideration, I most eagerly await your reply.

Sincerely,

Stacey Bourque
