Position Description: Had responsibility for creation of the annual budget and analyzing it monthly. Supervised all staff and developed educational offering to keep their knowledge current. Opened a peritoneal dialysis unit at a site 20 miles away, which was highly successful and increased patient outcomes and satisfaction and number of patients.
With the medical director, oversaw monthly water and dialysate microbiology counts and took appropriate action.
Conducted case management rounds each with the medical director, dietician, and social worker to plan interventions to improve patient outcomes and safety.

Position Description: As Dialysis Manager I did patient and staff scheduling as well as hiring and disciplinary interventions as necessary. It was my job to maintain the budget as well as correct the deviances from the budget.
I did all staff education and developed the first dialysis technician role for the University. My job also included monitoring of water and dialysate for microbial contamination and maintaining standards set by Medicare and Joint Commission.
