Winter 2011 - Independent Study, Administrative Assistant
Observed and studied under the Executive Program Director. This included program planning, budgeting and organization as well as grant seeking, applying and writing. Tasks required organizing and planning on time lines and within budgets.
2008-2011 - West, Chauncey and The Plains Elementary of Athens, Ohio
Team Leader: Assisted with the homework room, setting up the art room for activities, and supervising during snack time and recess in addition to my team of 12-18 children age 6-12.
Summer 2010 - FAST Program
AmeriCorps VISTA: Assistant team leader for a group of approximately 16 middle school campers. Service learning based and youth-driven program. Campers created, planned and carried out own projects throughout the summer. Facilitated during all service projects as well as a counselor to a team of campers during all camp activities.
Summer 2009 - Summer Elementary Program
Assistant Team Leader: Supervised 20 kids ages 6, 7 and 8. Escorted them around campus to activities including reading lab, computer time, woodworking, green time and swimming.
Spring 2011 - Camp Oty’Okwa with Big Brothers Big Sisters
Spring Internship: Observed and taught outdoor environmental education courses to school groups. As an administrative assistant I planned, structured, obtained funding and created two new programs for next year. Balanced budgets, timelines, and other various tasks simultaneously. The right hand of the program directors.
Summer 2008 - YMCA Camp Kern of Oregonia, Ohio
Senior Camp Counselor: Responsible for 6-10 children age 6-15. Arts and Crafts instructor for five of nine weeks developing age-appropriate lesson plans. Led specialty program “Survivor Camp” for kids 10-15 teaching survival techniques of lashing, fire building, camping and hiking.

Volunteer Work
Coached a U-8 boys soccer team in the spring of 2004, with 18 children age 6 and 7.
Mead Central Research Christmas Cheer Program, 1995-2005. Paired with underprivileged child from the area to take shopping for warm winter clothing and shoes.
Kappa Kappa Psi is a service-based fraternity. Membership involved service projects and fundraising such as benefit concerts, a 5k run and other events.
Willett Elementary gardening and physical education program for Ms. Watson’s class.
2000-Present CAMP (Constructing Assured and Motivated People) Counselor/Supervisor: Senior Cabin Counselor/Junior Hill Supervisor/Cabin Inspector. Supervised cabin of 6-10 girls, ages 12-18, for one week. Taught multiple classes and planned various camp-wide activities accommodating approximately 300 people.
