CONTRACT PROJECTS - EMPLOYMENT HISTORY

INTRODUCTION AND 2010-2012

I'm currently seeking a temp/contract position as a financial analyst.

My rate is flexible.

I've been a senior financial analyst for most of the last 12 years - working on complex, high level projects. During several projects I worked directly with a COO to carry out his or her goals.

Here is a synopsis of my last two years of work -

I performed a combination of pro forma tax work and compliance work for 2 individuals one of whom is seeking U.S. citizenship through asylum route and the other who is seeking permission to bring his wife and children to this country.

This work, particularly the asylum matter, has required thorough analysis, research, and compliance effort on my part.

What follows immediately below are additional bullet points re this work.

Tax & Immigration Consultant for two immigration applicants

Researched, analyzed, documented immigration data for 2 applicants from India.

Assisted in the preparation of USCIS documents that will be used to enable their families to

Immigrate to the U.S.

Asserted that 1 applicant using another person’s Social Security Number did not commit a crime – Update: His defense is “he didn’t know the stolen social security number he used belonged to a US citizen." Citing a 2009 Supreme Court ruling -

Immigrants who use stolen or purchased Social Securities Number to work are not guilty of identity theft if they assert they didn’t know the information belonged to another person.

Thus there was no crime committed by the 1 applicant described above. (However, See Below)

Courts: Using another's SSN not a crime - Red Tape

redtape.msnbc.msn.com/_ 6345521-courts-using-anothers-ssn-not

Nov 30, 2010 – Is using a forged Social Security Number -- but your own name -- to obtain ... he did not knowingly use another person's identifying number. ... In many cases, SSN "borrowing" is successful and the imposter goes undetected for years. ...But the 2009 Supreme Court ruling essentially took that bargaining tool ...

Located, analyzed data to be used for one applicant to apply for asylum

The above was a highly technical exercise due to gray areas in the law and the ever changing

ICE & INS regulations
