Responsibilities
To handle Product development and product improvement in line with clients need.
Actively strive to reinvigorate systems and procedures to improve company quality standards
To establish Quality norms & specifications for raw materials, & auxiliary materials as per PFA and client’s specification
To approve new supplier, follow up audits for improvements.
New product developments with costing, in line with regulatory requirements and clients need.
Manage the Physico-chemical and Microbiology laboratories to meet GLP, Hygiene, plant schedules, and budgets.
Co-ordinate the purchase of any required laboratory equipment and review and approve vendor validation documentation. Manage the ongoing calibration and maintenance program for this equipment
Ensuring all laboratory analysis is carried out in a safe, efficient and timely manner and ensure that systems and methods of analysis/sampling/testing are in place to allow for the generation of valid data.
Ensure Microbiological Testing: raw water, raw materials, intermediate products, process equipments, finish goods product, ultra hygiene area (Total Plate Count, Yeast/Mold, Coliform Count, E. coli, Eeterobacteriaceae, Salmonella, S.aureus & Environment Pathogen Monitoring, method validation & verification).
Communicate all relevant company information to reporting staff and Interact effectively with other department managers.
Sensory Evaluation and self life study of finished product
Manage contract testing laboratories, ensuring compliance to Good Laboratory Practices and agreed testing deadlines
Representing the factory,Quality Control laboratories and plant hygiene(medium, high and ultra hygiene area) during audits from the Nestle, Hindustan Unilever and other auditing bodies.
As a key member of the quality function, work with other departments to promote a culture of compliance to current Good Manufacturing Practices ,good hygienic practices and GSP within the facility
To keep management informed of all quality deviations and trends and set corrective action as required & reporting to Managing Director.
To Implement GLP and GHP for organized working of the laboratory as per Nestlé’s Norms and HACCP.

Developed new dehydrated products Dill Weed, red bell pepper, low sugar potato cube, green chilly bits, carrot bits baby food, ginger bits, garlic bits, broccoli, pineapple bits, apple cubes
Re-engineered the existing product Mixed fruit jam, Pineapple jam and Tomato ketchup and all existing dehydrated vegetables and optimise cost.
Modified and validated the process of steam sterilization for dehyd. vegetables & fruits and achieved <100 T P C, Yeast/Mold <10 and Enterobacteriaceae Negative baby food.
Implemented Good Lab Practices, Good Hygienic Practices, Method validation & Verifications as per Nestle’s norms.

Responsibilities
Ensure the Quality of all raw materials, packaging materials & auxiliary materials.
Microbiological Testing: raw water, raw materials, intermediate products, process equipments, finish goods product (Total Plate Count, Yeast Mold, Coliform Count, E. Coli, Salmonella & environment Pathogen Monitoring).
