Medical Billing daily operation consists of:
Patient data entry
Entering patient’s information with a level of service and diagnosis
Check insurance coverage
Prepare & submit claims to insurance companies, patients and other payers
Follow-up on delinquent accounts
Launch appeals for payments in disputes
Manage all billing cycles
Prepare invoices and review the correctness
Communicate with physicians and insurance companies
Resolve billing complaints
Write appeals for denied claims
Reimburse patients for procedures paid for by insurance company
Secure pre-authorization for particular procedures
Each claim is proofread for accuracy & correct coding
Work Experience
Medical office manager with nursing background in Surgery, Pulmonology, Internal Medicine, OB/GYN. Processed and submitted insurance claims, admissions for surgery, outside lab tests, vital signs, bookkeeping, banking and patient’s history.
Great customer service. Very articulate and professional.
Performed medical transcription in pathology department at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Hospital and worked at NYU Medical Center in Geriatrics’ administration. Administrative duties in rehabilitation medicine at Mount Sinai Medical Center. All performed between the years, 1970-80 – part-time.
