UNDERGRADUATE RESEARCH
Fall 2011- Present Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering Dept. Rutgers University - New Brunswick, NJ
Cooperative Research Initiative - World’s Lightest Flyer Project
* Collaborated with a design team in an attempt to set the newest record for the world’s lightest remote control aerial vehicle.
* Extensive research and empirical calculations were carried out to ensure proper weight distribution and power capacity.
* Served as team leader and responsible for reporting the group’s progress and findings to an advisor on a weekly basis.
Summer 2011 Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering Dept. Rutgers University - New Brunswick, NJ
National Aeronautics Space Administration (NASA) Fellowship Recipient -New Jersey Science Grant Consortium (NJSGC)
* Examined the flight behavior of small flapping vehicle (aircraft) using kinematic-kinetic analysis of tiny insects.
* Utilized CAD techniques (Solidworks) to simulate insect musculature and the energy system that induces indirect flight.
* Culminated my research through a poster and oral presentation at a selective NASA fellowship consortium.
Spring 2010 –Present Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering Dept. Rutgers University - New Brunswick, NJ
Robotics Research Assistant- Flying Insect and Wing Analysis, Flapping Robots
* Utilized engineering software such as Matlab, ANSYS, and SolidWorks to replicate wing structures and convert to numerical and graphical data.
* Worked collaboratively on a research team to design, implement, and analyze data extracted from computer aided modeling.
* Extensive experience with key characterization techniques including: inspecting, explaining, and reflecting.
* Effectively communicated the project through a poster presentation and oral presentation at a research symposium.
WORK EXPERIENCE
