Some of the services available from Deluxe Corp are design services, website services, print marketing, promotional products, and fraud protection services.
DESCRIPTION OF THE PROJECT
Deluxe Staff Augmentation project has been developed to get the product, customer, employee and order information from the different source system and load into the DWH tables. Source systems which have been used in this project are Oracle, DB2 and flat files. Mapping are developed to load data mart tables from DWH tables. Business Object has been used as a reporting tool. Informatica has been used as ETL tool to extract data from these source systems. There are Unix shell scripts which has been used to do the task like archiving the files, validation of source file,to create the parameter file dynamically and kick off the ETL.
Deluxe Provent:
Deluxe Provent is an Embedded service at the point of Order Capture. The consumer has visibility of the addition of the service but no option is available for the consumer to decline the service. The Deluxe provent project provides the ability to allow consumers to opt in/out of the Provent service at the point of Order Capture. This involves Changes to Order Capture systems to display the opt in/out, Changes to CI Application and Change to Price Display when Consumer Opts Out.The scope of the Deluxe DW/BI project is to integrate new applications to the EDW to address all the needs of their business users.

NETWORK METRIC PORTAL
INDUSTRY Telecommunication
CLIENT Verizon USA
DURATION 12 months
ROLE Developer
PROJECT SPECIFIC SKILLS Oracle 10g, Informatica (7.1, & 8.1.1), Microstrategy 7.1, HP UNIX, Perl
DESCRIPTION OF THE PROJECT
Telecom is a regulated business in USA and the genesis of the project lies in the Central telecommunication Regulation act of 1996. This act opened the local telephone market for competition giving rise to the competitive local exchange carriers (CLEC). The bandwidth providers were mandated to provide service to these smaller telecom service providers who would collect their customers by offering discounts and use the bandwidth and services provided by carriers. The FCC therefore asked the Incumbent local exchange carriers (ILECs) to produce metrics validating that the CLECs were being provided same level of service as any other customers of ILECs.
The Network Metrics Portal (NMP) is an initiative to bring this data on a central platform. This entails extracting data from several existing systems feeding this data to the data warehouse, building data marts to support the reporting requirements, doing the number crunching and producing the required reports.
The purpose of this project is to develop all the given Change Control Requests (CCRs) given. The primary objective of these CCRs is to ensure that the performance and penalty calculation for Verizon is done accurately. In case of any changes in the guidelines, ensure that these are reflected in our final reports produced.
Responsibility:
• Understanding the User requirements and performing the Analysis, Design and Implementation of the Change Control Requests for each month.

• Performing Unit Testing, Functional and Regression Testing to ensure the quality of the deliverables.
• Coordinating with the manager in giving the low-level and high-level effort required for every Change Control.
