L&T MFY specializes in fabrication business and is dealing in manufacturing of offshore platforms, large module for Fixed & floating production systems, Waste heat recovery modules, Vessels, Jack up Rig. Job Profile in L&T

• Understanding and interpretation of Weld symbols, weld geometry, welding processes like SMAW, SAW (Single & Tandem), FCAW, GTAW& GMAW (STT Process).

• Qualification of welders &welding operators as per AWS D1.1 & ASME SECTION IX codes.

• Reviewing of all welding procedures and ensuring that proper WPS is used in the on job parameters.

• Consumable Estimation and preparation of Technical Annexure for procuring welding consumable.

• Spot Checking at yard to monitor the welding & related activities as per fabrication code and customer requirement.

• Visual examination of all welds and carrying out proper NDT as per customer approved NDT plan.

• Preparation of weld repair procedure, in case of repairs & monitoring its implementation, Surveillance inspection for distortion control during welding.

• Repair analysis and action taken to control the repair.

• Monitoring and maintenance of job wise and welder wise repair database & taking adequate measures for minimizing repair percentage.

• Preparation of repair procedures for weld repairs.

• Coordinating with different Clients & Third Party Inspection agencies (such as BV, BVIS, and DNV etc.)

• Preparing necessary Reports like Root cause Analysis for major Defects and reviewing with Third Parties, and client Representatives to clear the job.

• Reviewing of NDT Techniques like UT, MPT, LPT & RT.

• Monitoring of Heat Treatment as per specific job procedure.

Implementation of Hydro-Test of Piping and Pneumatic Test of Heavy Fabricated Structures.
