Achieved this by writing special rules in time eval to capture the required data and then attaching them to dummy wagetypes. These wagetypes were called in payroll form. Involved in creation of Benefit Plans and creation of wagetypes and assigning the wagetypes to these plans. Worked as Senior Consultant in SAP HCM
Worked as a Senior consultant in SAP HCM practice servicing clients both in public and commercial sector. Worked mostly as team lead on SAP HCM sub modules. Was involved in presales support as subject matter expert.
Clients Worked:
1. Texas State University, San Marcos, Texas
Worked as Time Management Lead at Texas State University SAP HR implementation on enterprise version (Version 4.7). Responsible for the complete implementation of Time Management Module including Time Quotas, Time Evaluation and integration with payroll for generation of time wage types and absence valuation. This client was a Beta client for SAP to rollout ‘Concurrent Employment’ functionality.
Implemented functionalities such as FMLA workbench, Absence Pools, Creation of Time Statement and Time entry and approval via CATS using ESS.
Developed unique solutions to meet public services requirements like State Compensatory time accumulation and aging. The State compensatory time is generated based on set of personnel calculation rules after considering the FLSA hours and other attendance types such as Telecommuting. The unused balance of the generated State Compensatory hours had to be aged after one year from the date of generation. A message had to be generated in Time Evaluation 90 days in advance of the impending aging of the state compensatory time. The solution involved writing series of rules processed together in a sub schema.
The challenge was to implement the requirements in a Concurrent Employment scenario where multiple assignments have to be processed together. In certain situations all the assignments were not eligible for State Compensatory Time. We had to create same Business Subjects but assign them different Grouping values based on separate grouping reasons. Separate distribution method was created to distribute the accumulated State compensatory hours to the individual assignments based on a Time Type that was filled in a personnel calculation rule.
Implemented Concurrent employment features for Public services environment for functionalities such as FLSA hours and wage type generation, Quota accrual based on seniority, setting LIMITS and generating messages, required writing unique personnel calculation rules and heavy customizing in Concurrent Employment. The CE Time driver does not support many Functions and Operation used in traditional Time Evaluation driver. In Quota generation Standard functions like reading Feature ‘HDATE’ to determine seniority is not supported in CE environment. We had to overcome these by writing separate personnel calculation rules.
Implemented CATS time entry via ESS. CATS time sheet was integrated with Human Resource, FI-CO, and Funds Management Modules. New workflows were designed with multiple levels of escalation if the Time Administrator/Supervisor did not approve within the specified time. Data entry profile was assigned to specific employee groups using authorization groups. These authorization groups were assigned to employees as a sub type of dummy infotype 0316 while maintaining the roles.
