Basic Function: Identifies and opens new accounts across all market channels
(Grocery, discount drug, specialty)
NEW BUSINESS/RESPONSIBILTIES:
• Position’s sole responsibility is to prospect for new business and maintain over 50 assigned house accounts.
• Secured appointments through telephone cold-calling sales skills , e-mails, letters, and
Networking contacts.
• Presented Gallant products/program to prospects via telephone; follow up as appropriate to secure business
• Negotiated program, terms and pricing with customers, subject to management approval.
• Provided feedback to sales/marketing department to develop additional products/programs or merchandising solutions to meet prospect needs.
• Managed and grew sales in assigned accounts
• Problem solving and troubleshooting with existing accounts to maximize sales.
• Maintained strong communication skills with customer service.
• Assisted in 10 key order entries during high peak periods to ensure customers shipped on time.
• Administrative responsibilities include daily activity reports, accounts correspondence, mailings and problem solving.
• Conducts all business transactions in a manner consistent with high ethical standards that the company maintains
