Reduced engine rework PPM from 80000 ppm to 500 PPM by eliminating 257 physical phenomenon through 36 POKA YOKEs and won the 2nd prize for

Reducing engine rework star Model through supervisory improvement team

Cost

Reduced manufacturing cost by Rs.1.5 lakhs / annum by reducing process scrap of parts by implementing POKA YOKEs (such as Part Seat sensors in pressing machines, Guide pins etc…)

Achieve cost saving 12 lakhs by done the SIT project

Productivity

Reduced imbalance in the assembly operation and saved 9 men / day by regrouping and multi process operation

Achieve 100% utilization in star conveyor continuously 33 days in assembly by eliminating hard to do activities and imbalance in line balancing.

Automation Cell For Transmission Assembly and saved 3 men/shift

Cell capacity improved 1100/day to 1700/day by done productivity improvements in engine assembly

Safety & Health

Introduced the Anti – Hit, Anti – tie and Anti – repeat concept in the pressing machines and eliminated the accidents during pressing

Reduced operator fatigue due to manual torque wrenching by introducing the DC tool, thereby eliminated the manual torque wrenching

Eliminated the manual kicking of engines in testing operation by providing the auto kicking mechanism
