Professional Profile

Career Objective

I am currently interested in pursuing a career in the mining industry as a

mine foreman and other management level positions.

Personal Profile

I have 10 years of mining experience where I have held several positions on

both conventional and long wall sections. For the past 5 years I have

held a section foremans job overseeing a move crew. However, due to my

knowledge of the mining industry I have the potential and experience for

other foreman positions. I was also honorably discharged from the United

States Army National Guard where I served during Operation Enduring Freedom

as a Specialist in the 206th Engineer Battallion.

Professional Experience

Sidney Coal Company/ Massey Energy (currently Alpha Natural Resources) 2003-

current

Section Foreman on Move Crew at Rockhouse Energy

I have held this position for over 5 years where my responsibilities

included: belt and power moves, track instillation, installing head

drives, etc.

During this time I have also retained my MET card.

Longwall Section Employee at Rockhouse Energy

I was employed on the long wall section for 3 years. During that time I

was on the long wall set up crew, jack setter, utility man, and head gate

man.

I feel that my knowledge I have gained by working on a long wall section

has provided me with the skills to both supervise and manage a long wall

section.

Rodman

I was part of a crew that set spads, performed check surveys, levels and

mapping underground.

KY Army National Guard 2000-2006
