Title : AIR Management (Project Portfolio and Project Management tool for Information Solutions)

Application Details: AIR is a Portfolio, Project management; Cost management, Time Management and Resource management application used in Sanofi that supports the growing business needs to stream line and centralize project planning and management of data across multiple operating Information solution groups in Pasteur.

Role : IT Portfolio, project manager working in PMO group. Responsibility is same as in functional profile.

Project Responsibilities:

• Interview GIS business partners, organize and run requirements sessions with groups of users.

• Analyze and model relevant business processes, rules and data relationships. Document “as is” process.

• Assist the project team in designing a “to be” process. Demonstrate the impact of procedures and their effect on the organization. Critically review and recommend changes to processes in part or in their entirety.

Project Details: The main goal of this project is the elimination of business risks associated with the management of legacy product submission records which currently only exist in paper form. This project is the first phase in a multi-year initiative to image critical records. In addition, this effort aims at developing a method by which these legacy records will be made available to business areas that need information from these files on a regular basis. The implementation of this solution will encompass the installation of a scanning solution in Swiftwater US including specialized software customized to support Regulatory Affair's electronic capture needs.

Application Details: SUCCEED is a Project management, Cost management ,Time Management and Resource management tool used in Novartis that supports the growing business needs to stream line and centralize project planning and management of data across multiple operating development franchises in Novartis. It is a main source for cost management and budgeting. In Novartis, SUCCEED is a centralized system which has interface with more than 5 applications like Clinical management system, Finance system, HR system etc. And a source for data warehouse applications to generate Reports for finance using COGNOS reporting.

OPX2 application’s “Time Card” module is used for Time Management in Novartis and is widely used across Novartis Parma Global to fill and track the Time. A Resource Management Module “ SPLANDIT “ for Development IT resource and “Clinical Resource Management” for Clinical Resources are used by the resource managers for Planning their resources for the Development and Clinical activities. Cost Management module of OPX2 is uniquely customized and used for calculating costs. The interface with ClinAdmin for calculating only the External cost is another interface called eTCF.

Project Details: The team supports Succeed as a two different teams – Change management and Incident management. Incident management team manages all the incidents and service requests to resolve the incidents as per the priority & the severity. The change Management team effectively works to develop Request for changes (RFC) to have them released in production as part of Operational Work packages/Bi-Monthly release. The change Management Co-ordinate works effectively with the Change Management team and the Users to complete the User Acceptance test. Release Manager will consolidate all the RFCs to check the impact assessment of the objects which are being released as part of the release.

Project Role & Responsibilities:

My responsibility is blended in SUCCEED Operations

• Business Analyst in Documentation Management; Process Improvement

• Manage all changes from Creation to the sign off. (Change manager)

• Quality Manager for all change requests in SUCCEED.

• Manage Bi monthly and Emergency releases (Release Manager)

Role definition:

• The focus is to understand the business environment of the business area being supported. They facilitate work between business and IT groups to “translate” requirements and enable creation of value added IT solutions.

Simulations of active projects and version creations will enable efficient forecasting in project Management.
