Shipping and receiving, company driver making deliveries and pickups at our retail stores around the greater Atlanta area as well as Chattanooga, TN. My job description also included operating a counter-balance lift as well as pallet jacks, and making/processing shipments using UPS Worldship, FedEx, and USPS software.
Wilson Janitorial – Atlanta, GA. 2007-2010
My job was to safely clean medical and office buildings before or after business hours. This would be done Monday thru Friday and some Saturdays. We work in small crews where each person is held accountable for their respective areas of the building. Efficiency plated a major role in this industry, the more buildings we could clean the more we could be paid.
Swift Transportation – Decatur, GA. 2004-2006
At Swift I was an over the road truck driver covering the continental U.S. delivering goods in a safe and timely manner to customers, I was responsible for maintaining adequate temperatures on refrigerated units as well as pre and post trip inspections on the vehicles, I was required to keep a legal log book, comply with the hours of service regulated by the D.O.T, and properly operate a Qualcomm machine for communication.
FedEx Ground – Conley, GA. 2003-2004
I worked as a loader and unloader at the Conley, GA. facility where my job was to load the trailers with outgoing packages in a timely manner as not to miss delivery times, on occasion I would also be called to un load the trailers in the same fashion and manner, I also picked orders off of a conveyer belt to ensure proper destination in which some packages (usually larger ones) would have to be scanned.
UPS – Atlanta (airport), Ga. 2002-2003
I started this job as a seasonal employee where I would load the airplane containers with packages that were marked for overnight or next day delivery, we worked in teams of two or three with one person picking packages off the conveyer and two in the container stacking packages in a wall formation.
