Profile

In ten years, I have transformed my skills as a studio and editorial assignment photographer into being a retail digital photography business manager. I have taken my experience in producing technical photo shoots, color correction, retouching and final editing to another level with business management and selling. I have had a very successful 2-year run in sales management consistently putting me in the top ten of 25 stores. I am also a visual artist. My goal is to work where I can be creative as a photographer, and continue developing my creative and business experience.

Experience

MANAGER/LEAD PHOTOGRAPHER, GLAMOURSHOTS STUDIO; SANTA ANA, CA - MARCH 2007 - PRESENT

As lead photographer my responsibilities were consulting customer’s photography needs by guiding them through the session photography process. I coordinate and schedule classic or modern studio photography sessions for a variety of client needs. After being promoted to manager my responsibilities include managing daily operations and employees, training and development, generating sales leads, closing customer photography sales, and supervising shifts. Other responsibilities include hiring and training staff, store advertising and promotions, set and lighting design, event coordination and production.

STUDIO MGR/ASSIST. PHOTOGRAPHER, AHA IMAGE STUDIOS; LAGUNA NIGUEL, VA - MAY 2008 - JAN 2009

Responsibilities include video, product photography, corporate headshots, studio coordinator, photographer, and stylist.

STAFF PHOTOGRAPHER, LIVE OC MAGAZINE IRVINE, CA - MAY 1996 - MARCH 1998

As freelance staff photographer, my responsibilities included covering monthly segments as well as stories and special reports. Also set up photo shoots for paying clients advertising needs and campaigns.

STAFF PHOTOGRAPHER, CONTACT PUBLISHING; KYRENIA, CYPRUS - AUG 2004 - MAY 2006

As Staff photographer for two monthly magazines, my responsibilities included interviews, special reports, and advertising campaigns and products. I also covered press conferences, and political events working in the multi-national company with special experience in international news. Also after 6 months I was given full editorial control of fashion department.

Skills

In addition to experience as a conceptual artist, videographer, wardrobe stylist and art director, I am very experienced working with apple or windows platforms in photo editing and retouching using the latest Adobe creative suites and plug-ins.
