Securus Technologies Nov. 2006 to present
Primarily Sql Server to mine data and develop reports with development in Access and Excel.
• In December of 2010 was asked to assume a more active role as a data analyst with our Customer Service and Tech Support teams.
• Primary responsibilities over the last 15 months has been to create and maintain the accumulation and data structure of tables in SQL Server to provide reporting data access. Responsible for acquiring data on a daily basis from many different sources via automated processes that capture, interpret and relate data across many various platforms.
• Developed a network of Access databases that execute stored procs and gathers data from other sources during off hours, so the data is available for reporting when the team arrives in the morning.
• Developed several major Excel reporting tools that display the results of millions of records.
• Provided lead design and programming for an Excel CFO Dashboard which presents numerous high-level views by day for the last 180 days and a 13 month overview. The data is refreshed each morning when opened for the first time.
• Designed several tools to help team members with file manipulation to data reformatting.
• Produce various ad hoc SQL investigations as requested by management.
• Have been a data analysis resource, helping several departments evaluate the effectiveness of certain process with a view to creating change requests to improve where applicable.
Goodman Networks, Carrolton, TX Nov. 2005 to Nov.2006
Access Modules with a SQL Server back end to provide activity specific user interfaces for a variety of business functions.
• In this environment, the entire company information infrastructure was architected using SQL Server as a back end with interrelated Access modules on the front end.
• Primary area of focus was Bids and Quotes and Job Costing modules which handled most of the information related to each Job the company sold.
• Discovered extensive data anomalies between the two modules and proposed a merger of the two modules which would provide all of the necessary information for all viewers while maintaining the security of certain information. Implemented this major change over a two month period.
• Uncovered some abuses in labor and expense reporting that amounted to around a million dollars of annual payroll fraud.
• In SQL Server I have written stored procedures, created views, modified tables and permissions as necessary and added new tables to optimize database naturalization. I have also built processes which keep data synchronized across various SQL Server databases.

Development and maintenance of numerous applications to automate invoice audits.
• Developed two database applications to manage and report on reconciliation aspects of the company’s the chapter 11 negotiations with its vendors.
• Created and maintained over two dozen applications for various departments in the company that automated various audit, billing, customer account maintenance and production table update processes.
• These suites of applications accessed external data sources (text files, zip files, Excel spreadsheets, Sybase database tables, etc. to extract data, process data either as a validation of the accuracy of each individual record (on a regular basis validated over 70 million call detail records every month) or a summarization of the data for presentation in either an Access report or for export to pre-formatted Excel spreadsheets which may also contain charts.
• On two different occasions discovered over a million dollars in billing opportunities within the various billing streams for which I have researched and developed tools.

• Mined data from over 400 Excel Spreadsheets and migrated data to an Access database using normalized tables.
• Created front end that allowed several departments to add or update data as needed.
