Over 30 years combined experience in the Army Reserves and Army National Guard,(21 years active duty), with a Bachelors degree in Organizational Management. Read, interpreted, and applied various rules, regulations and protocols for the military. Since 3 January 2011, I have been in the position of Community Support Coordinator for Arkansas. This consists of the following duties to include coordinating and assisting Soldiers and Family member programs and policies that support the United States Army, the Army National Guard and the Army Reserve. I improve and meet the four focus areas outlined; behavioral health, faith based, financial and legal needs of Soldiers and Family members who are geographically dispersed from Family support facilities. These events comprised of monthly meetings in different locations in towns and cities where Army National Guard Armories are located to meet with the fulltime National Guard staff of each armory and with the civic leaders in that particular city or town. In these meetings, State Family Support staff & Yellow Ribbon personnel would present a brief overview of the different programs that was offered to help the Service Members of that community and to also get the civic leaders involved in helping the Service Members and their families in the event of mobilization.
