Over 30 years combined experience in the Army Reserves and Army National Guard,(21 years active duty), with a Bachelors degree in Organizational Management. Read, interpreted, and applied various rules, regulations and protocols for the military. Since 3 January 2011, I have been in the position of Community Support Coordinator for Arkansas. This consists of the following duties to include coordinating and assisting Soldiers and Family member programs and policies that support the United States Army, the Army National Guard and the Army Reserve. I improve and meet the four focus areas outlined; behavioral health, faith based, financial and legal needs of Soldiers and Family members who are geographically dispersed from Family support facilities. I research and facilitate partnerships with community agencies; update the information in the Army OneSource Locator, develop networks with other AOS CSCs, OSD regional Liaisons and the Army Community Covenant to ensure a framework exists to implement all aspects of Army OneSource.

• Assigned as Regional Incentive Operation Team for Region One that encompasses the northeastern United States. The states assigned to me are: Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island, and Vermont.

• Served as subject expert in the area of enlistment bonuses and incentives so that each Service Member receives the proper bonus and or incentive that he/she has signed upon enlistment. Depending on what job he/she enlisted for in their enlistment contract, I ensure that both parties, the Service Member and the National Guard stay within the guidelines of DoD, Army, and Army National Guard Regulations that pertain to the type of bonus and incentive each Service Member receives at enlistment.

• Served as subject expert in developing a working program for the

“Yellow Ribbon” Reintegration Program as Support Specialist II for the Arkansas National Guard.

• Managed the administration of over $1 million annual budget for the “Yellow Ribbon” Reintegration Program.

• Supervised in setting up over forty different "Yellow Ribbon" events in 2009 for Reserve component Service Members, i.e. Army Air and National Guard, Army Reserve and Marine Reserve Service Members through out the state.

• Served as “Yellow Ribbon” coordinator for over 20 “Lunch & Learns” around the state of Arkansas. These events comprised of monthly meetings in different locations in towns and cities where Army National Guard Armories are located to meet with the fulltime National Guard staff of each armory and with the civic leaders in that particular city or town. In these meetings, State Family Support staff & Yellow Ribbon personnel would present a brief overview of the different programs that was offered to help the Service Members of that community and to also get the civic leaders involved in helping the Service Members and their families in the event of mobilization.
