The objective of this resume is to show my skills and many talents. It will show my abilities as a supervisor as well as my abilities to get the job done.
SUMMARY OF QUALIFICATIONS
I have 5 years of transportation experience, and a extensive customer service background. I have experience in a variety of phone answering systems, including bookkeeping experience. I have 10 key experience as well as typing 75+ words a minute.
WORK OF EXPERIENCE
2009-2009 Staffmark, North Charleston SC. I was a liaison between the mechanics and the warehouse. I had to make sure that the mechanics parts were ordered and delivered in a timely manner. It was also necessary to make correct problems made at the warehouse while ensuring the mechanic was in the loop at all times.
2007-2008 DFS Consulting/1st Priority Services, Yalesville CT. I am the Senior New England Operations Supervisor. I am responsible for making sure that all 3 of the New England offices ran smoothly. I was in charge of making sure that all loads were called in to the carriers as well as any special loads were called in. I was required to get international quotes, air quotes and truckload quotes.
2004-2007: Fed Ex Freight, Milford CT. I was the Over Short and Damage Associate. If freight was missing, I found it, If freight was damaged I was responsible for making sure the shippers request were meet as to what to do with the freight. If there was freight that we did not know where it belonged I found it’s proper home. I was able to hone my customer service skills as well as learning to take criticism from customers.
2003-2004: I was not employed during this time. I supported my husband while was away on a submarine for the US Navy.
2001-2003: Lowe’s Home Improvement Warehouse, North Charleston SC. I was the Home Décor Specialist. I was in charge of all of the sales for the department. I also had to make sure that the 3 other people in the department knew what there duties were for the day and make sure that all stock was on the shelf by the appropriate time.
1999-2001: The Home Depot, North Charleston SC. I wore many hats with Home Depot. I started off being a cashier, then I moved to the vault and was one of 3 bookkeepers where we were in charge of making sure that the daily books balanced as well as making the deposits for each day. I then went on to become a switchboard operator for them. I had to learn how to handle multiple lines at the same time while also taking telephone orders and supporting the specialty sales desk that was linked with our office. I then went on to become a head cashier where I had to make sure that all of the cashiers on the floor had all the tools they needed to complete there jobs as timely and seamlessly as possible.
EDUCATION
2009: I completed my licensing for health and life insurance in the state of South Carolina.
1998-2000: St. Petersburg College: I began the process of getting my BS degree. I have completed all required math as well as a civics course and comprehension I. I held a 3.0 GPA while attending School
1993-1997: Seminole High School: I completed high school and received my diploma
EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
I am the principal bassoonist for the Charleston Community Band, I am the 2nd bassoonist in the Summerville Community Symphony and volunteer in the education department for the aquarium.
