Vice President/ Human Resources Relationship Manager
· Reported to the Head of Human Resources (dotted line to the local CIO/CAO), Human Resources Relationship Manager responsible for multiple teams within the Information Technology, Operations and Project Management organization in the Americas, facing-off to senior leadership in partnership with IT HR and HR subject matter experts for a population of 400+.
· As HR Generalist, supported multiple product lines and was proactive partner with Global Human Resources and Chief Administrative Officers to execute and support Information Technology, Operations and Project Management Division, and Miami Private Banking Group in the Americas. · Managed and supported all annual Human Resource processes including compensation/ bonus/ performance reviews and promotions, company-wide projects and initiatives, McLagan/ Market Review, and Reductions in Force.
· Directed the recruitment process to attract the best candidates, and partnered with senior management on process improvement, policy development and change management.
· Decreased recruiting expenses through innovative and cost efficient recruiting methods – employee referral program, college job posting and internet posting.

HR Manager and Senior Technology Recruiter
Was responsible for development and implementation of the company’s Human Resources function, and served as a senior HR advisor to top management. Provided staff assistance to senior consultants and other departmental managers in developing, implementing and communicating the Company’s Human Resources policies. Other responsibilities included:
· Managed, planned, formulated, evaluated and recommended general Human Resource policies including: EEO; Leaves of absence; Employee Relations; Work Environment Issues.
· Developed and maintained written corporate human resources policies and procedures manual for company managers and an Employee Handbook.
· Assured compliance with all federal, state and local employee laws and regulation for both the New York City and Florida locations. Included coordination with outside immigration counsel as needed.
· Recruited, interviewed, selected and orientation of all new employees including the development of job descriptions.
· Solely responsible for staffing and supporting numerous Volvo Cars of North America business and technology projects with off site staff in excess of 35.
· Researched, analyzed, recommended and implemented the conversion of the company’s traditional indemnity plan to a point-of-service plan for the Company’s medical health insurance plan. This included negotiating contracts with the providers resulting in a minimum of a 50% decrease in premium costs. Negotiated renewal costs not to exceed a 10% increase. In conjunction with this conversion, also converted the company’s dental, disability and life benefits which resulted in a 20% decrease.

Human Resources Director (01/87 - 11/94)
Was responsible for the Human Resources, Facilities Management and Administrative Services functions for this 400 employee multi-site international software development company, which included a staff of 20.
· Created basis, framework, and manual for Human Resources policies and directives. Developed a large number of programs including organizational planning/development issues, benefits, employee relations, immigration issues, training, compensation and safety/health issues.
· Was responsible for identifying legal requirements and government reporting regulations including ERISA, EEO, FLSA, FMLA, ADA, Affirmative Action and OSHA. Acted as primary contact with labor counsel and outside government agencies.
· Negotiated cost-analysis comparisons of self insurance as compared to other available health insurance options. Resulted in a 15% reduction in health insurance costs and increased ancillary coverage’s without additional cost.
· Personally screened prospective employees, conducted all hires, negotiated agreements, acted as liaison with Executive Search firms.
· Developed programs to reduce the cost and time for each hire by working closely with universities, training schools and search firms. Coordinated program steps to include all interested parties involved in the recruiting process. The firm’s recruiting costs were reduced and turnover rate was held below 10%.
· Acted as Corporate liaison officer, ensured all compliance and risk management issues were properly addressed.
· Expanded international operations. Was responsible for locating new office space abroad, selecting facilities and hiring nationals.
· Acquired new office space for the company’s corporate headquarters and placed in charge of facilitating the move. Responsibilities included negotiation of real estate lease, agreements with general contractors and other vendors such as interior designers, architects, floor covering companies and lighting design firms. The project was completed ahead of schedule and within the allocated budget.
