PROJECTS HANDLED
<
|PROJECTS HANDLED IN BARCLAYS CAPITAL |
|FSA BCI Phase II |Capital requirements for BCI were previously computed using|
| |the SEC approved ANC model (for local SEC reporting |
| |purposes) and the SEC Standard Haircut Rules approach, |
| |which the FSA have approved for consolidated reporting |
| |purposes for the short term. |
| |The FSA required BCI to move onto FSA 'standardized' rules |
| |within 2011, and this was a pre-condition before |
| |considering extending coverage of existing approved models |
| |to BCI. |
|Recovery and |Recovery and Resolution Plans (RRP) have two aspects: (i) |
|Resolution Plans |options to recover financial strength (ii) provide detailed|
|(RRP |information / data to allow authorities to carry out an |
| |orderly resolution in an economic distress situation. If a|
| |resolution scenario were to occur, the authorities will |
| |need to look across legal entities and business units to |
| |establish the services provided by them, and gather all |
| |relevant data from them. |
|Phoenix 2.4 |The Phoenix feeds to MODM was developed to provide Finance |
| |systems (Castle 1/2) with Credit data from Phoenix. |
| |Specifically, PD, EAD and LGD values required for Basel II |
| |RWA calculations. |
| |In addition, TDB receives daily client file from Phoenix to|
| |enrich its TETB (Trade Enriched Trial Balance) extracts |
| |with the default grading (PIT and TTC) for all |
| |counterparties. This is required for TDB's IFRS 7 credit |
| |quality reports. |
|ADP 224 Enrichment|The objective of the ADP Enrichment Project Program is to |
| |address quality control issues to meet the qualification |
| |requirements of both LE Control and Financial Control |
| |during month/year end reconciliations, and to manage the |
| |critical path to implementation. |
|PROJECTS HANDLED IN CREDIT SUISSE |
|(International |This project involves the migration of financial reporting |
|Financial |standard from GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting |
|Reporting |Principles) to IFRS (International Financial Reporting |
|Standards)- IFRS |Standards). Based on rules, the trades are identified with |
| |Fair Value Elected indicator for financial reporting |
| |purposes. |
|Functional |Opera being one of the main P&L system, currently reports |
|Currency P&L |in native currency and base currency (which is most of the |
| |time is USD). Now it requires to report also in Functional |
| |Currency which can be other than USD. FX Rates will be |
| |derived both for USD (base currency) and Functional |
| |Currency and based on the FX Rates the P&L amounts will be |
| |calculated. |
|Token Based P&L |Opera adjustment was based on book, source type and feed |
| |level. Token based P&L will enable to process the |
| |adjustments at token level. This will be generated by |
| |adjustment GUI and will be passed onto Opera for processing|
| |Cash Build, Trial Balance Build and Profit n Loss (P&L) at |
| |token level. |
|SA Automated |Notional Adjustment currently checks the data between Month|
|Notional |End (ME) and ME-1 and adjustments are posted against |
|Adjustments |NOTIONAL for the difference in structures between ME and |
| |ME-1. Currently this runs at ME+1, but user posts |
| |adjustments till ME+6. To take into account all the |
| |adjustments posted by users, Structure Analysis Automated |
| |Notional Adjustments need to be run at ME+6 and the |
| |adjusted records also need to be considered. |
