Responsible for event planning and constructing meetings in the West Virginia area and surrounding states (including Ohio, Tennessee, Kentucky and Pennsylvania) based on a variety of clients in the medical and technological fields. To represent Logistic Innovations as an on-site meeting planner, set up audio and visual needs, follow meeting guidelines and responsible for any technical problems. As Tourism Sales Manager my responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Promoting Charleston, West Virginia as a convention, exhibition and group travel destination to state, regional, national and international markets. Responsible for identifying market opportunities and developing long/short term strategies with the objective of attracting group/tourism business. Conducting sales and site visits, blitzes and telemarketing to qualified clients. Attend Tourism Committee meetings, Hotelier Sales Meetings and City Wide Meetings. Served as a liaison for Charleston, WV in the group tour industry. Researched competitors/surrounding cities within a five hundred (500) mile radius, knowing what groups are visiting and how many times a year. Generating leads which were distributed to hoteliers, conducting bid presentations, maintaining awareness of competitors and surrounding cities; personally planned and hosted 40 Professional Tour Operators/Owners on one of Charleston’s most important FAM tours.

As a result of these efforts and contacts I have built relationships and maintained four (4) markets (Motorcoach, Pageant, Education & Medical) and achieving all sales goals within those markets have resulted in exceeding these expectations and goals of over 100% of my sales Prospects, Traces, Lead Room Nights and Booked Room Nights.

As of December 2009, booked over 200% room nights and revenue goals as established by the President/CEO for my annual goal. I was recognized as top sales person for the period of 2010.

Within five (5) years of employment, I have attended and completed over 100 educational seminars including; sales, marketing, technology, budget planning, grant writing, social networking, communication, PR, media and services.
